Ashland, Ohio's Newest Bed and Breakfast

We are delighted to open our doors to guests visiting Ashland, Ohio, which really is "Someplace Special."  Come enjoy homey comfort in a clean and secure environment.  Located in a quiet residential neighborhood between Ashland University and Ashland Theological Seminary, we offer convenience, comfort and conversation.

When not relaxing in your room, enjoy our spacious common areas.  Play a game or do a puzzle by the fire in the Dining/Sitting Room.  Hold a private conversation in the Library.  Enjoy a book in our Screened-in Patio while your children enjoy our fenced-in backyard with toddler play area.  Hide out in our cozy Smoking Salon. 

Prepare to eat hearty while staying here in Ashland.  Wake each morning to a filling homemade breakfast with fruit, entrée, and side dish.  Enjoy unlimited beverages, with bottled water, coffee, tea and hot chocolate available any time of day, as well as homemade cookies and other goodies. 

Stay in touch or get away.  Bring your laptop and stay in touch via our wireless internet.  All guest rooms have high-definition TV's, and there are videos available for the kids to watch. 

Your comfort is important to us!  The entire house is air conditioned.  Guest rooms have keypad entries for security.  Forgot something?  Help yourself to a replacement from our amenity basket.  Or use our iron and ironing board, hair dryer, or robes, all available in each room for your convenience.

We love children here at College House Bed and Breakfast!  Our twin sons (age 4-1/2) will be happy to welcome yours and make them feel right at home.  After all, it's our home, too!  We will be delighted to accommodate your family, and share our baby gear, including high chairs, a play pen, a pack and play, booster seats, plastic cups, and way too many toys.  Outside we have a fenced-in back yard with a toddler play area.  Finally, we are a pet free property, so children playing in the backyard will only encounter good old dirt and sand.

We opened with our first guest room, our classically elegant Music Department, July 19, 2007.  This room is conveniently located on the first floor, requiring only a few steps when entering the house.  This large room features a bay window sitting area, a king-sized bed, a high-definition flat-screen 32" LCD cable TV, and DVD/VCR player.  The private en-suite bathroom features a combination shower and whirlpool bath, and heated tile floors.  Although not completely handicapped accessible, there are handbars on the walls for your convenience and a shower seat is available upon request.  Centrally located behind the kitchen, this room is the most easily accessible guest room.

Our second guest room, our fun and funky Art Department, opened October 23, 2007.  It also features a private bathroom and king-sized bed, as well as a 32" high-definition flat-screen LCD TV with a DVD/VCR player.  In addition to a desk there is a futon loveseat which can serve as a bed for a third person, as well as a roll-away bed available for a fourth person.  This bright and cheerful room, on the third floor, offers an ultra-quiet private retreat from the rest of the world.

Our light and airy English Department opened June 10, 2008.  It has a queen-sized bed and full-sized sleep sofa, desk, and 32" high-definition flat-screen LCD TV with a DVD/VCR player.  Its private, en-suite bathroom features a spacious whirlpool tub with a hand-held massage shower head, as well as heated tile floor.  Receive royal treatment in this second floor romantic guest room.

Our final guest room, the patriotically themed History Department, opened June 21, 2008.  This cozy room features two twin-sized beds, desk, 32" high-definition flat-screen LCD TV, and private en-suite bathroom with a shower with a hand-held shower head.  This second floor room is perfect for single travelers who want to be pampered on a budget, girlfriends traveling together, or a parent and child.
