Can't have lodging without policies, right? I try to keep ours simple!
Check in: by appointment. I am happy to accommodate your schedule and I plan our day around your expected arrival time. Just let me know when you expect to arrive (and call or text if you're running late) and I'll be sure to be here to meet you. If we have schedule conflicts I can give you the code to the doors.
Check-out: at or before 11 a.m. Late check-outs are generally no problem if no one else is checking into the room. Check-outs after 1 p.m. could be subject to an additional night's charge.
We accept: Visa, MasterCard, American Express, Discover, cash, checks, and chickens (preferably dressed). I'll take a one night deposit and collect your balance when you check in.
Extra person: $25 each per night. Children 12 and under at no additional charge. I often waive the extra person charges, but the sleep sofa in English will occur at least some kind of charge to set up.
Smoking/Candles: Designated smoking areas are available. Please, no smoking or candles in guest rooms or common areas due to fire regulations, as well as consideration of other guests' health and allergies. Smoking or candles in non-smoking areas may incur extra cleaning fees.
Children: I love children, and my (now adult) twins grew up welcoming other kids. Let me know the ages of your children when making your reservation and we will make every effort to accommodate them and you in comfort. Please be considerate of other guests and help your children to behave appropriately in a bed and breakfast environment. Also, please do not leave your children unsupervised.
Pets: College House Bed and Breakfast is a pet-free lodging. If you have allergies, rest assured there is no dander in any of our guest rooms or common areas. If you are traveling with a pet, I regret that we will not be able to accommodate your pet in the house. If you have a crate and/or other traveling facilities and the weather is appropriate, please speak to me about the possibility of using our detached garage as temporary lodging for your pet(s).
Rates: are per night, double occupancy, and include delicious cooked-from-scratch breakfast each morning. Rates are subject to change without notice and do not include Ohio taxes: lodging (3%) and food ($0.50 per person per night).
Holiday and Special Event Weekends: may have no discounts available and may require minimum stays.
Reservations: are confirmed with a one night deposit. I will refund your deposit if you cancel at least seven days in advance of your scheduled arrival. If you need to cancel, please call me. No shows will be charged for their entire scheduled stay. No refunds for early departures.
Entire Lodging Reservations (renting either 3 or 4 rooms): require a 50% deposit. Cancellations of entire lodging rentals must be made at least 30 days prior to the reservation date and will incur a $50 processing charge. The reservation must be paid in full and is non-refundable 30 days prior to arrival.
